Soroka_Grp-minDear Friends,

Welcome to Global Outreach Charter Academy!

Our name conveys both a sense of our identity and philosophical base.

The history of Global Outreach Charter Academy is one rich in scholarship and leadership. It is a history founded on the premise that learning is not to be measured by grades alone, but by the remarkable, compassionate, and socially significant lives of our students and graduates who choose to lead while at Global Outreach Charter Academy and beyond.

Global Outreach Charter Academy, Jacksonville, FL was founded by immigrants from Ukraine, Mr. and Mrs. Soroka, as a result of 3 successfully established charter schools in Sacramento, CA in 2001, known as Community Outreach Academy (COA). The three schools grew from 70 to 900 students in the first three years and received the “Best School of the Year” Awards from the biggest charter school organization in California. COA now operates on three campuses and has a waiting list of over 1,000 students.

The heart of Global Outreach Charter Academy experience is the relationship between inspiring, caring teachers and talented, motivated, and engaged students. At Global Outreach Charter Academy students are enlivened by the power of ideas, made available through engaging interaction with teachers passionate about philosophies that shape, define, and change the world.

GOCA’s commitment to our diverse community and its success is supported by rich multicultural curriculum, wide variety of after school activities, and multilingual academic programs. It reaches into every corner of GOCA school life.

I invite you to get to know the heart of Global Outreach Charter Academy community: our students and teachers. Come visit us today!
